Pennsylvania Ave from the Capital 1893
11 10 2007Oh how things have changed! This was the view down Pennsylvania Ave from the Capital building in 1893. It is amazing how much of downtown has been redeveloped. The pyramidal roof at the left (along the tear in the photograph) marks the Baltimore & Potomac Railway Terminal, now the site of the National Gallery of Art. Old City Hall is at the upper right.
