U Street Corner Almost Ready for Its Close Up!
3 12 2007These long abandoned buildings at 14th and U Street NW look ready for new tenants. In an area that has fairly consistent foot traffic, this group of buildings has sat dormant for far too long. Once the scaffolding comes down, this corner’s going to look pretty nice!
Don’t think that area needs any more dry cleaners, but other than that… new businesses will be great! Restaurant on the corner anyone? that would be perfect!

I heard a rumour that Ben’s Chili Bowl was thinking about opening a restaurant there. It was discussed earlier this year on a development blog. Supposedly it was going to be more of a loungey kind of restaurant….
Its too bad there was a fire in this place the other night… Looks like another setback for this property!
