DC City of the Future 2108

14 01 2008

We spend a lot of time talking about what we want our fine city to look like in the future, but most of us don’t have the time to put together a truly thought out plan, let alone a 3D model. Well now we have a chance to see what 8 teams of some of the areas best architects can put together to envision what Washington DC might look like in 100 years.

The competition, sponsored by the History Channel, is taking place tomorrow the 15th at Union Station and the cool part is you can stop by between 9am and 5pm to see the competitors in action!

The results from each team will be presented as a 3D model to a panel of five judges and the winner will receive a $10,000 Grand Prize and go head-to-head in an online vote with other cities to become the National Champion! We are definitely going to check the competition out, we will be sure to take a few pics, so check back later in the week.
