Anacostia’s Architectural

26 02 2008

The Salvation Army’s new Solomon Brown Center in Anacostia broke ground last year and is still on track for completion by June of this year. As previously mentioned, the building has lots of great features including retail space, area for workforce training, a daycare center, chapel, classrooms, and a health club.

However the best part of the project is that all these great things which will benefit the community come in such a great looking package. Taking advantage of the opportunity to build a striking building while bringing needed services to the community sets this project apart in our book! Check out construction photos and even a live web cam on the developers website.  [WCS via AnacostiaNow

Yeah we posted about the new DC sidewalk rules last month too…

Wonder if there is some number you can call when you see violations… we will have to look into that!

I don’t think that rule is retroactive… or is it?

I don’t think that projects that already were under construction when the law was made have to make sidewalks accessible.
