Ever since the new Target opened last week it seems like all the local news outlets have been trying to outdue each other in heaping praise on Columbia Heights and it’s new “revival” as a neighborhood. Do you think that the new cachet will play into the asking price on this 8 bedroom, 4.5 bath row home?

i have no idea, but i looked at an apartment directly across the street from that house which, if it hadn’t just been renovated on the inside, looked like the rent was WAY over what it was worth for that neighborhood.

also, i’d say it’s *barely* considered columbia heights, with Georgia Avenue just a few blocks away. well, columbia heights coffee is around the corner, along with RedRocks, so maybe it isn’t such a bad location after all. still, it’s a stretch to say it’s in the “new, trendy” section of the neighborhood.

i’d guess $895,000. that’s some sort of shelter / halfway house next door attached to the church.

Yard not landscaped. Appliances and cabinetry look like your basic off-the-shelf stuff from Home Expo. I bet those bedrooms are small. And whatever way you cut it, there is still gang activity up that way — as any smart home buyer would quickly figure out if they made a night time inspection.
