I spoke to the dry cleaner who currently occupies space in the yet to be demolished portion of Phase 2 (other side of Clarendon Blvd). She said the Saul wants to start Phase 2 earlier than originally planned and would like both projects to be under construction at the same time. In the past 2 weeks, ,ost of the tenants have quickly moved out of the space. Anybody know when phase 2 demolition begins?

Yeah but look at how the office building on the North side of Clarendon Blvd emulates the art deco architectural style of the original building on the left, it's really nice looking and very different that what you typically see!

I like the design, I just wish different materials or color had been used. The art deco is cool, but the area is a bit saturated with neutral colors. If there is any place in the area where funkier designs could fit in, it is Clarendon.

I'm not thrilled with the architecture but at least there will be a heap of shiny new ground floor retail space.
