Destruction not Construction

Sometimes on a Friday you just want to see a little demolition action. With all the work going on along K street Northwest, we didn’t have to look very far!
Unlike the building a bit further down the block, this one is being taken down old fashion style, with a big old wrecking ball! There is nothing more fun to watch on a lunch break!
The fire truck in the photo makes it look a little ominous, but have no fear, the demolition is an extremely well coordinated effort and is scheduled to be complete by early June.

i walk by this building every day, and it’s been really fun to see it disappear little by little. i hope the final building looks as lovely as its rendering. (or at least better than what was there.)
