Exclusive: Pictures of the Capitol Visitor’s Center Interior
15 04 2008Remember last month when we brought you the exclusive update on how the Capitol Visitors Center is progressing? Well now fresh in our hot little hands are some interior pictures of the new center. With most of the work done, the bronze work is being installed over the next few months and everything should be ready for the Grand Opening at the end of 2008!

We really like how you can see the Capitol Dome through the skylight and we have to admit that the interiors do look great. It’s a nice modern interpretation of the capitol building and will fit nicely. Those expansive halls will be great for fitting all those tour groups of gawking Midwesterners. Maybe it was worth the 13 year wait… but probably not!
More Pictures after the jump… You know you want to see them…

Not trying to take the thunder from this blog (which is one of my favorites), but check out the Weekly Construction Summaries on the Architect of the Captiol’s website for additional pictures. It’s going to be great when complete.
