First Look: Ray’s New Restaurant Location in Courthouse

We have known for a while that foodie favorite Ray’s The Steaks was moving to bigger digs right up Wilson Blvd in Arlington. Now we have photographic evidence that great steaks will soon be available in the Courthouse neighborhood.
We know it’s hard to read but the sign in the window of this prime corner restaurant space reads “Now Hiring, Waiters, Sous Chef, Cooks… Please Apply at Ray’s the Steaks 1725 Wilson Blvd”
With the new Mediterranean restaurant Me Juna next door, and the restaurant by the folks behind Georgia Browns going into the Courthouse Plaza East being built across the street… is Courthouse turning into a dining destination?

The interior has nice wood molding throughout the room with a dark red paint on the walls, very plush looking in comparison to the stark bare bones look of the origional Ray’s down the street!
We also really like the huge framed mirrors that are a focal point of the larger dining room!
This restaurant is amazing and hopefully with the bigger space the wait won’t be as long! All these new upscale restaurants are really going to make Courthouse the place to be.. now we just need some bars and the area is set!
If you can’t make reservations, it’ll still be a (worthwhile) pain in the butt to eat here. HOLLA!
Please don’t forget to mention Saw at Dee as a great Thai food restaurant in Courthouse Plaza. What the area needs is a German style Beer Garden in that vast unused space of courhouse plaza.
Don’t forget about Village Bistro! Next to the current Ray’s location , VB is an excellent Mediterranean restaurant with fresh seafood and a wide selection of wines. Check it out.
