An Almost Record Deal!

Another day another deal. We just got word that some prime buildings near the Capitol and Union Station have changed hands. However the $376 Million deal is just short of the record recently paid for 2099 Pennsylvania Ave. NW according to the Washington Business Journal. Don’t worry though, the sellers JBG still made a nice chunk of change on the property.

JBG bought the buildings in 2004 for $602 a sq-ft and the purchase price by Investor Ralph Dweck came in at about $827 per sq-ft! Most of the half million square feet of space in the building is currently leased out to mega law firm Jones Day. [Flickr Photo: M V Jantzen]

what’s the exact address of the property? is it the actual jones day buildling???

Just did a little Googling and learned that the adjacent building’s address will be 300 New Jersey Ave., NW.

This building, which is nearing the final stages of construction, will be connected to 51 Louisiana Ave., NW building via a glass-enclosed atrium. I termed the new building an annex is my previous post, but this appears not to be the case.
