PriceChecker: Thomas Circle – It’s The Big Reveal
29 04 2008Your weekly chance to take a stab at real estate appraisal.
Well done with the guesses…
All the results are in and counted, and the listed price for the ultra modern gem of a penthouse on Thomas Circle is $575,000.
We still don’t know what the deal with the kitchen layout is though…
Apparently many of the units in the building are set up in the same strange way! Maybe they figure most of the residents don’t do much cooking anyway, so it doesn’t matter! Oh yeah and the realtor still has it listed as a short sell, though it’s been on the market for a while… so that tactic doesn’t seem to be working to move the property.

Is this the one? Seems pretty crappy for that much if you ask me. Not a good view either.
Same building, different unit, but it still looks like you are the big winner for the week! Good guess… Congrats!!!!!
Nah, I consider it cheating…lol
Roy should have his PriceChecker Crown revoked!
the kitchen is the “open kitchen” concept sans counter sticking out. it actually ends up being spartan and with clean lines, hence very flexible. urban living = smaller, simpler kitchens??? I think so. all the units in this building have this kitchen design along with the translucent barrier to define bedrooms. (you can always put up a solid partition if you wish).
I’ve been in that unit. the view is fair. the 2 PHs with the bumpouts (not this PH though) have views up and down 14th which are real nice.
lol
=)
I thought the open kitchen without the counter was illegal under DCRA code. Do they have a permit for that?
