Embassies Open Doors to DC

2 05 2008

Ever wondered what the inside of all those lavish looking Embassies all around our fair city looked like? Well now’s your chance to just walk in and take a look around! And don’t worry you won’t get shot by the guards, Cultural Tourism DC is sponsoring an EU Embassy open house this Saturday the 3rd!

Not only will you be able to get a glimpse inside 26 different embassies from the EU countries, you will also get to experience music, dance, film, and art, along with a rare behind-the-scenes look at the European embassies, which are some of the most architecturally interesting buildings in the city.

Each of the participating Embassies will be open from 10am to 3pm and there will even be free shuttle service available from Dupont Circle, Cleveland Park, and Farragut North Metro stations. However if you want to make it a walking tour, you can reach a bunch of the Embassies from Dupont Circle including Romania, Portugal, Luxembourg, Greece, Ireland, Bulgaria, and Cyprus. We can’t even begin to tell you how excited we are to see all these buildings! For more info visit EU Open House.
