[...] Sometimes demolition has to take a measured piece by peice approach. At 1812 Moore Street in Rosslyn, they couldn’t just knock down the building because of the adjacent metro station and proximity of other buildings. As a result, over the last few weeks the building has slowly been dismantled to make way for a much taller new building. [...]

I think it looks good. But, I do think between the central place towers and this one and waterview and turnberry, it could be a bit boring. I wouldn't mind seeing something of a different color, or perhaps with some metal on the facade kinda like the NYT Tower in NYC accept more like the initial renderings.

But apparently due to the topography, the Central Place towers and this one will all appear much taller than the twins so they will stand out for sure, I think about 100 ft taller. But remember, the buildings are 470ft. above sea level, so in actuality, they'll be probably about 380ish.

Kind of looks like an Architect had the plans on his desk from the early 90's. Who knows, it could turn out cool. I'm all for a tall modern skyline contrasting with our low blocky skyline.

470 ft tall? That's going to be one tall building, sounds like it will be the tallest in the area once it is built?
