		<description>the topography of that area is changing drastically, thank goodness. it's about time they redevelop that eyesore of a neighborhood. it has so much potential, but it's been neglected for far too long. AND, there's still a lot more that needs to be done. near the safeway, there's this 80's stained glass church that's falling to pieces (literally), and the project housing all over the area is packed with code violations and drug activity - i see it every time i walk from the metro to the DMV. but hey, it's a start. 

i'm totally psyched that dc is even giving half a shit about getting the place cleaned up and up-to-date!</description>
