Home Prices Fall Again in DC

9 07 2008

Another month, another report to support the downturn in the market. A new survey by Radar Logic showed that in 23 of the 25 markets (including DC), home prices fell, continuing a nationwide trend.

At least we’re not in Sacramento which droped 31%, even passing Las Vegas. Any predictions on when we are going to see the bottom of this thing?

We are looking at maybe a year more of the decline and then some leveling off.

If gas prices stay high, cities will rise again, and DC housing declines will disappear. Sorry Loudoun County, but prepared to be screwed.

Agree w/ Tom and poo poo…

DC and its close-in suburbs serviced by mass transit will be where the growth is…anything else out in SUV country has got a long wait…and I don’t think its an “if” that gas prices will stay high…

For aspiring homeowners, the prices can’t fall far enough.
