Rosslyn Central Place
18 07 2008By far the best exibitor at Design DC 2008 was a company called Architectural Images, and they had some amazing renderings and models on display including this model of Rosslyn Central Place. As we have said in the past, these buildings are going to redefine the Washington area skyline, so it’s cool to see how they look in 3D.

We really like how transparent the buildings look, we just hope they keep some element of that design once the structures are built.

i’ve always thought these buildings looked sadly generic and unoriginal… yes, they have some curves — but give us some character!
I like them if they are that transparent too. I hope they’re not too blue-ish
There will be floors on each level, unlike this model, but the design does call for all that glass, plus the three story rooftop observation deck is going to be completely transparent.
Very nice model, are machines mostly used to make these one-time models or are they mostly put together through manpower?
Hi Michael - Thanks for the compliment, and more info on how the models are made can be found on our company web site ai-va.com.
