Club, Theater, or Bar?
4 09 2008Ok we can see this space as a bar… and a club would really be stretching it… but a theater? Whatever it becomes, they better keep that awesome facade intact. Any ideas for what this area is in need of that this space near Logan Circle could fill?

The Palace of Wonders manages to fit a stage into a space that looks about that size and the second floor of Red and The Black is probably a lot smaller. I’m not sure if you can get away with calling it a theater, but you could definitely have performances in a space that size.
Ditto on the facade. I hate it when cool old details like that go away.
This space would make a sick bar… Someone buy/rent it please.
Okay, I can’t believe I am saying this but I don’t think we need anymore bars. I am officially old.
What about a restaurant? Why isn’t that an option? I would rather have a restaurant on that street than another bar!
What street is it BigBob? I can’t place it…
I’m up for anything other than a vacant building or a chain aka Subway/CVS/bank/etc…
Although I love Yum’s, Logan Circle needs a good and cheap 24 hr/7 days a week restaurant .
DC is very understored generally, but you’d think an affluent area like LoCi would have more than just furniture stores.
I think this is on 14th street Mr. Q
This building is right next to the 7 Eleven on 14th St and Rodhe Island I believe…..
Gun shop.
It’s on the West side of 14th South of P St between the 7-11 and the parking lot.
first off, the commenter who called the area ‘loci’ needs to be taken to that gun shop so they can be shot.
secondly, i have friends whose theater company (not movies, we’re talking stage productions) were approached by the owners of that property a few years ago looking to see if they wanted to open a small black box stage there, but nothing much ever came of that.
