The Providence Coming Fall 2008
30 09 2008The Providence is a newly renovated historic 1920’s building near Logan Circle being developed by Willco Residential. The building has 8 units over four floors however to fit that many units into the building, Prince of Petworth pointed out last week that the first floor is residential units instead of retail.
This isn’t really a bad thing since that block is a mixture of street level retail and residential, it’s just interesting that they put additional doors instead of leaving the space for more of those great warehouse style windows on the higher floors.

Those windows are so cool, they look like the originals. Also doesn’t the top cornice of the building just call out for one of those “Built 1920″ details that many buildings from that era had?
