Meridian Hill Park: On Schedule
14 11 2008After five years of work, the Meridian Hill park is still under construction. We always thought it was behind schedule… that is until we saw this sign which reads “expected completion Spring 3008″ so really they are right on track!

I think that’s typical for the district… that sign made me laugh out loud when I saw the pic!
When dealing with all the local and federal agencies that have authority over any number of things in DC it’s easy to get confused and there is more than enough blame to go around, but I feel I should point out, in case Steven meant to imply that DC local government is responsible for the pathetic pace of this project, Meridian Hill park is part of Rock Creek Park and it’s maintenance and upkeep fall to NPS.
