Building Buddled Up For Winter

2 12 2008

It sure is cold out there today, and you’re not the only one buttoning up the hatches against the cold. New buildings going up all over town are starting to seal out the cold with temporary plastic installations instead of waiting till windows are installed, like the new Marriott Residence Inn going up in Arlington’s Courthouse neighborhood.

The building’s exterior is almost complete and is still on schedule for completion next year, still no word though on the main tenant for the restaurant space that had originally been slated to be a Georgia Browns. [Photo: DCMetrocentric]

This building doesn’t even look like an architect was involved, with it’s cheap windows, ugly pink-ish stucco detailing, and what looks like exposed concrete.
