To Do: Spotlight on Design

12 01 2009

Looking for something to do tomorrow evening? You might want to check out the latest installment of the National Building Museum’s Spotlight on Design. The monthly lecture is sponsored by AIA and Tuesday’s talk will be by Laurie Olin and David A. Rubin principles of OLIN Architects.

Their work spans the country from the restoration of New York’s Bryant Park to the landscape of the Washington Monument’s 72-acre grounds. So we are interested to hear their perspective and design philosophy.

Tuesday January 13th 6:30pm at 401 F Street NW.

Laurie Olin and her firm are Landscape Architects, not architects. It’s important to note the difference so the public can better understand what Landscape Architects really do (vs. the typical idea that they are glorified landscapers).
