CFL Builder Selected
8 05 2009The District announced this week that Whiting-Turner has been selected to actually build the $133 million HOK designed Consolidated Forensic Laboratory (CFL) in Southwest. To get an idea of what the building will be used for, just think of an episode of CSI. According to Police Chief Lanier, “The officers of the MPD look forward to the Consolidated Forensic Laboratory bringing them these advanced forensic tools.”

The CFL will be built on the site of the former MPD First District Headquarters, at 415 4th Street, SW in Ward 6. The First District recently moved to the former Bowen School in southwest, paving the way for demolition.
