Bethesda Home Moratorium

23 06 2009

Some strange news out of Bethesda, apparently the planning board has placed a moratorium on home building in the Bethesda-Chevy Chase area to be in place for at least one year. The justification is projected school overcrowding, but does this seem like the best solution? News flash, not everyone that builds a new home has school age kids right?

The moco planning board is one of the most nearsighted anti business organizations in the dc metro area

I’m a reporter with WAMU 88.5 and I’m interested in following up with residents who had planned to build in Bethesda in the next year but now can’t.

Are you among those without children who hoped to build?

How can they even have the authority to do that? Especially if a person owns land that they want to build on.
