Corcoran Scaffolding

13 07 2009

The Corcoran’s historic Beaux-Arts building is finally getting a complete roof renovation. As you can see, work has begun on the building which dates back to 1897. Covering approximately 48,000 square feet—85 percent of which is glass—the roof will get a complete make over and hopefully permanently solve the persistent water leaks that have plagued the building over the years.

Don’t forget that all summer long admission and programming is free every Saturday till the end of August. So take advantage and check out the great exhibits. [Photo: dcjasmine]
