The GW biz school building (Duques Hall) is of its time, a modern design for a building housing a modern business school. Many other new campus buildings have used more traditional designs and styles, such as the law school additions, the media affairs building, Townhouse Row on 23rd Street and several new residence halls.

What is cutting edge about Stone Neo-gothic buildings...really? What is cutting edge about glass curtain walls is the question. By the way, our clothes don't look much different from what we wore 100 years ago, minus the hats.

Buff&Blue - Didn't you come out with props for the new g-dub b-school a few months back? Yet another building on that campus that looks like a suburban corporate campus? And PooPoo, Goody Clancy isn't exactly known for it's big statement architecture.

Stone at one end, glass on one side in the middle, brick at the other end... very contextual but not a strong independent design or "cutting edge."

@ Buff&Blue - I think the interior is what is cutting edge, but the combo of a glass curtain wall and the stone is also something you don't see that often.

In terms of design, what is "cutting edge" about neo-gothic stone buildings?
