General Scott: Green Update
28 09 2009After some delays, the green roof project of the General Scott Condo in NW we talked about a while back is finally under way. Reader Fred sent in a couple pics of a crane lifting supplies to the roof. The renovation of the roof of the 1940s Art Deco building is being designed by French Studios Architecture and will have the largest green roof on a residential building in DC when complete.

A foolish waste of money in the current economical climate. This decision was based emotions and politics rather than sound judgement.
Well they said they needed a new roof anyway.
