The huge new U.S. Institute of Peace being built along Constitution Ave is finally starting to really take shape and the massive winged sculptural roof designed by Moshe Safdie now has its form and support in place. We have talked about the design in the past but what do you think now that it is taking shape?

It looks like an ugly NFL Stadium, and doesn’t it look like that wing on the front is hanging a lot lower than in the original designs?
It looks like a cheap rip off of a Gehry museum thrown on top of a precast version of the FBI building. It was an amusing small model and is now a prominent dissapointment, much like the ATF HQ.
Actually, it is the new indoor stadium for GW football – the Colonials are returning to the gridiron after a 43-year hiatus.
What? You all are crazy. I’ll wait till they glaze the thing to pass judgement.
