DC Metrocentric

It was all the way back in April of last year that we first saw the designs for the renovation of the historic Howard Theater located at 7th and T Street. The design will take the building back to its original grandeur retoring the old brick facade and adding back lost details. Despite a few bumps along the way, the project is finally ready to get started.

New banners have been put up and the project, lead by Howard Theater Restoration Inc, is ready to get underway in the new year just in time for the 100th anniversary! In its hey day the venue played host to everyone from Ella Fitzgerald and Aretha Franklin, to Duke Ellington. Hopefully a few more modern day greats will be able to fill the theater once again in the near future!
