Steven School’s Big Plans
30 11 2009We reported back in September on the controversy over the future of the Stevens school property in Northwest, and while there still isn’t really a resolution, we wanted to take a look at the plans from the two developers involved in the controversy.
While both designs preserve the historic school structure, one plans for residential (pictured) while the other is a boutique hotel from Peebles. The rendering of the plans from Peebles after the jump…

I just hope they do something soon, this is in such a great location and the school looks so sad and abandoned as it currently is.
Oh god, not another one of these deals…There’s always a much better design (in this case, the first), but due to cost, the worse and much more bland option is nearly always chosen. The second doesn’t even try to poorly copy the school, it’s basically a brick box.
