Wondering About Wonderbread
8 12 2009It has been over a year since we first heard about the plans for the former Wonder Bread Factory at 641 S Street NW but have yet to see a ground breaking for the project. Douglas Development plans to restore the 1920s facade and add an additional story on top but we have learned that things are in a holding pattern for now.
This is one of the greatest looking facades in town and we hope we can report on progress soon but it seems like this whole block is cursed right now… next door to the site of course is the stalled Broadcast Center One.

I love this building. The facade is fantastic, and I hope they can get this project moving soon. Where is Jim Graham on this project? And what is he doing about the Broadcast One Center? He has been M.I.A. on pushing for these projects.
