Floorgasm: Ritz Residences

2 06 2011

In a building that is often the focus of our floor plan fixation, the gorgeous Southwest facing unit 5A just came on the market for $2,150,000 and along with the listing is a nice floor plan. Weighing in at almost 3,000 sq ft, the unit has a private balcony, marble bath, three bedrooms, and even valet parking… what more could you want?

The unit last sold in 2005 for $1,775,000 so just over a 20% increase in six years. As always, click on the floor plan for a closer look.

Seems like a good price to me… not that I could afford it!

Again, which Ritz? There are two in DC.

The one with all the black mold issues – which STILL linger today (check out how many leaks they can’t seem to fix at the SCLA, for example). That’s not good.

It is really not that well laid out for the price point. I know I am nitpicking, but the size of the place does not warrant the serpentine trek guests have to make from the front door to the living room. The hall closet is tiny and is in the bedroom wing. And one of the bedroom doors is in the main hall rather than in the bedroom wing. Plus the kitchen is rather small.
