Trump Trump’s Old Post Office

Big news today on the redevelopment plans for the Old Post Office, specifically who the big winner in the RFP from the government for the rights to the project, and it’s none other than Mr. Donald Trump. The Trumpster plans to transform the historic Old Post Office Pavilion into a nearly 300-room luxury hotel complete with conference meeting space, a spa and museum to add to his Trump Collection.

Best part of the plan going to Trump and plans for a hotel/museum use is the building will still be open to the public, if one of the plans for offices had been chosen, the building could have been off limits to most everyone, which would have been a shame. Plans will probably be finalized over the next few years and the government estimates occupancy won’t be until 2016.
