Say goodbye to the industrial buildings and satellite towers that used to occupy the lot on the corner of 14th and Florida Ave NW, and say hello to View 14.
The project is designed by Level 2 development and the new building is planned to stand nine stories tall with two levels of below-grade parking and will have 185 units.
Back in the day this was going to be a condo project, but we have the sneaking suspicion that this is going to end up being rentals. The general contractor Clark Construction told us that work on the project is expected to begin in mid-September and will be complete in the fall of 2009. [Rendering: Level 2]
Check out this amazing rooftop oasis we spotted over in the Shaw neighborhood. The rooftop deck has all the key things that make a rooftop great; greenery, nice furniture, a grill, high vantage point, and we imagine it has a view. We are most jealous because those residents are going to have a great spot to watch the fireworks tomorrow, where do you plan to watch the festivities from?

We can file this project in the not going to be built any time soon file. The building was designed by Zahn Architects as a 28-unit new construction proposal along U Street but the developers have the project on hold. However if it does ever get built, it’s going to have one amazing penthouse rooftop. We’re not sure on the facade color though.
