Capital City Market: Update
20 10 2011Some more definitive details are starting to come out about the massive planned Capital City Market in NE which is now being marketed at Union Market. Ever since Richard Bradenburg was hired away from the Jose Andres restaurant empire to help shape the future of the development there has been a major renewed interest and focus on what can be done in the short term as well as longer term to realize the comprehensive 2.5 million sq-ft pf planned mixed use development.

In the short term we received word that there are plans in the works to get more people to visit the area and the current business that historically have been the heart of the market while making it into more of a “culinary destination” with pop up restaurants and events. It sounds like an interesting concept and one that has worked in other areas of town, so we will keep our ears open to see if anything comes of it.
