Well your guesses are in and counted, and the actual list price on the six bed, five and a half bath, classic federal town house in East Georgetown Village is a stunning $8,950,000. Having the luxury of a pool in the city sure isn’t cheap!

Your weekly chance to take a stab at real estate appraisal. Submit your guesses in the comments and closest guess gets the PriceChecker crown for the week. This first PriceChecker of the new year is a classic Federal in East Georgetown.

Feast your eyes on this beautifully restored true town home right on the edge of Georgetown in the East Village. The house has 6 bedrooms, 5 and a half baths and even has a pool in the backyard (not exactly a common feature in Georgetown). Worried about parking? There is off street space for 4 cars. There is a great looking wood pannled library and a very modern (and a bit out of place if you ask us) black and white checked kitchen
So take your best guess in the comments and we will crown a winner this Friday afternoon, and should you need some additional help, some more information including the realtor spin and photos of after the jump inlcuding the library and the strangly modern kitchen…

Well your guesses are in and counted, and the actual list price on the historic summer home site of Grover Cleveland is listed for a hefty $8,900,000. They are clearly banking on the history here.

Your weekly chance to take a stab at real estate appraisal. Submit your guesses in the comments and closest guess gets the PriceChecker crown for the week. This weeks PriceChecker is a historic home that was once home to President Grover Cleveland.

The Georgian style home was originally built on a full acre in 1927 and has been meticulously restored with six bedrooms and nine baths. If you like wood paneling, than this house is for you because most rooms on the first floor are covered in it. The home was apparently used as a “summer White House” for President Grover Cleveland and has beautiful views over nearby Rosedale park.
So take your best guess in the comments and we will crown a winner this Friday afternoon, some more information including the realtor spin and photos of after the jump…

Your weekly chance to take a stab at real estate appraisal. Submit your guesses in the comments and closest guess gets the PriceChecker crown. This week we bring you a special PriceChecker edition on the estate of Ted Kennedy in Kalorama Northwest.

Ted Kennedy’s widow has decided to sell the Kalorama home and move to a smaller place. The passing of the elder statesman marks a really significant point in Washington history, and the home will certainly garner a lot of attention when it does eventually sell.
The large home has over 8,900 square feet of space, seven bedrooms, seven baths, five fireplaces, a lap pool and an exercise room. As expected, the home isn’t really going to be listed so all your guesses will be speculation till someone actually closes on the property. As a reference point, the home was purchased in 1998 for $2.8 million. So what do you think?

Well we must say that your guesses for the most part were in the right ballpark. It is always hard to judge a historic building but you guys did well. The five bedroom house built in 1815 is listed at $2.95 M.

Your weekly chance to take a stab at real estate appraisal. Submit your guesses in the comments and closest guess gets the PriceChecker crown for the week. This weeks PriceChecker is a beautiful brick house on Duke Street that dates back to 1815 but has been fully refurbished.

This fully renovated 5 bedroom, 4 bath house first built in 1815 has a nice classic exterior, but it is the inside that really shines striking a nice mix between modern additions and preserving classic historic elements like the fireplaces. There is almost 4,000 sq ft of livable space plus a two car garage.
Take your best guess in the comments and we will crown a winner this Wednesday afternoon, some more information including the realtor spin and photos of the kitchen and a vault like brick basement/game room…

Your weekly chance to take a stab at real estate appraisal.
There must be something going on here, because even with the recent $200,000 price cut on the great looking and spacious Connecticut Ave four bedroom condo, your guesses didn’t even approach the $5.2 million listed price tag. Given that you can buy entire houses in that area for this price, a lower listing may be in the future for this one. What do you think?

What to do with 62 acres of land is something that is on the mind of District officials as they finalize plans to take over control of the old Walter Reed Army Medical Center, which is slated to close in 2011 and move to its new digs in Maryland (pictured). During the next 12 months the District will produce a reuse plan for the southern half of the campus, which is right along Georgia Avenue.
While it is still very early in the process, it is likely the final plans will call for mixed-use development along the Georgia Avenue corridor. If you are interested in following the progress, the development now has its own website walterreedlra.dc.gov and we know many people will be following this closely.

Well your guesses are in and counted, and the actual list price on the four story townhouse at Iwo Jima with the monumental views is listed for $2,395,000 which is right about where most of the guesses were so we guess it’s appropriately priced?

Well your guesses are in and counted, and the actual list price on the 2 bedroom condo with the congressional views is a nice tidy $2.8 Million for your own little slice of the Hill…

We think you could probably knock off about a million if you go just one block in any direction, so this is for that person who wants to bask in the glow of power!

Your weekly chance to take a stab at real estate appraisal. Submit your guesses in the comments and closest guess gets the PriceChecker crown for the week. This weeks PriceChecker is a condo with a Congressional view.

The interior is nice enough of this two bedroom condo in Capitol Hill, but take a look at what you see through the windows… that’s right it’s US House of Representatives! This entirely new built unit has all the nice finishes you would expect with big windows and 2.5 bathrooms but who are we kidding, people are going to want this place for its location and view.
So take your best guess and we will crown a winner next Wednesday afternoon, some more information including the realtor spin and photos after the jump…
